Originating from the Windsor area, Joan is a dynamic and commanding lead vocalist. Her smooth style has been recorded and played from Nashville to New York to Toronto. With a smooth vocal style and an energetic and charismatic approach to performing, Joan is a listening and viewing pleasure to those seeking the soothing rhythm of Jazz or those interested in the entertainment of top 40.

Starting at a young age, Joan developed a passion for music. From childhood piano lessons to private lessons in vocal and theory with several coaches, to lessons at Wayne State University, she has dedicated herself to her art. Now, Joan is a regular in the Detroit and Windsor area, as well as a popular performer in London. With musical interests such as Jann Arden, Diana Krall, Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders and Ann Wilson of Heart, Joan knew from adolescence that music would play a large role in her life.

“I don’t ever remember not being interested in singing and music,” said Joan. “I studied piano lessons as a kid, but when people asked me what I wanted to be I would always say ‘I want to be a singer.’ I think my mother is still waiting for me to grow out of it” she laughs. “Music truly defies all language barriers.  Music means I can communicate passionately to anyone and everyone no matter what language they understand.  It affects emotions on impact, awakens social conscience or simply entertains. It’s a tremendous responsibility, opportunity and reason to do the best I can do.”
